Summer Intern Spotlight: Brooke Sledd

Farmer Scott Ozete Robinson & Schmitt LLP wishes to say thank you and best wishes to our Summer Intern, Brooke Sledd, as she heads back to school. You may have been greeted by Brooke at the front desk or heard her voice over the phone.

Brooke is a rising sophomore business management major at Western Kentucky University. At WKU, she is active in Women in Business, plays intramural volleyball, and is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi. Brooke was very thrilled to gain more knowledge, outside of the university, and to work with us to explore a career in law.

According to Brooke, “When I got a call from Farmer Scott Ozete Robinson & Schmitt LLP, I had a mix of excitement and nerves. Would I think law was interesting and something I should pursue? I figured out on the first day of getting to know these amazing lawyers that my answer was yes. The work environment here is something I dream of working in someday. Along with the great people, I engaged in many projects the attorneys were working on. I learned quite a bit about environmental law which was an interesting area I had not even known about before interning here. I am incredibly thankful for the exposure to this practice area. I spent a lot of time learning how to use legal specific software programs, which is a great skill to take with me. As I go into my sophomore year, I am so excited to use all the knowledge I have gained through this internship. My internship at Farmer Scott Ozete Robinson & Schmitt LLP has been such a great experience that I will carry with me and use for the rest of my career. Thank you all at the firm for believing in me and trusting me with all your projects.”

Best wishes to Brooke on a successful sophomore year.
