Summer Intern Spotlight: Shaina Miller

Farmer Scott Ozete Robinson &Schmitt LLP wants to thank Shaina Miller, one of our summer interns, for her time at the firm this summer and wish her the best as she heads back to school this fall.

Shaina is a rising junior at Ball State University, in Muncie, Indiana. She is majoring in Political Science with a Public Administration Concentration, a minor in Sustainability, and a Pre-Law designation. At Ball State, Shaina is active in the Student Government Association, the League of Women Voters, the Democracy Fellows Program, Girl Scouting, and her sorority.

Shaina is an aspiring lawyer and hoped to expand her knowledge of the field and gain practical experience while interning with us this summer. According to Shaina, “When I accepted my internship at Farmer Scott Ozete Robinson & Schmitt LLP, I was so happy and so excited for an opportunity to figure out if a career in law was the right path for me. I have wanted to go into law for a long time, and I am glad to report that after my time at FSO, I am now more confident than ever that a career in law is the right path for me. At FSO, I have had the opportunity to connect with a diverse set of individuals in the legal world. This has improved my understanding of what it means to be an attorney and has shown me just how important all the moving parts are at a firm. I have also had the chance to explore different practice areas, including environmental and administrative law, through researching cases, writing blogs, and organizing documents. I also got to try my hand at answering calls, greeting clients, and assisting the lawyers on different projects. As I head into my junior year at Ball State, I am excited to implement the skills I have gained through this internship and continue to grow. My internship at Farmer Scott Ozete Robinson & Schmitt LLP has been an amazing educational experience and I can not wait to see where the skills I have gained take me next.”

Best wishes, Shaina, on a prosperous school year.
