ADDITIONAL EXECUTIVE ORDERS PROVIDE FURTHER COVID-19 DIRECTIVES

As state governments work to try to address the many legal hurdles necessary to expedite COVID-19 related responses, many technical and other waivers are necessary. Governor Holcomb is issuing Executive Orders at a rapid pace in order to address many of these issues. This year there have already been 12 Executive Orders issued. This compares to only 3 in all of 2019. The most recent order, 20-12, was issued on March 26, 2020 and includes, among other provisions, the suspension of the one week waiting period for payment of unemployment benefits and an extension of the deadline to file property tax exemption applications.

This order, like many of the previous orders, contains provisions applicable across several industries. The orders can accessed directly from this link.
