Indiana Secretary of State Releases Business Filing Stats
The Indiana Secretary of State’s office recently released some statistics which point to the amount of recent new business growth in Indiana. The office reported that Indiana had 92,248 new businesses registered in the twelve month period ending in February 2025. These new businesses were part of Indiana’s 687,327 active businesses throughout the state as of February 2025. Finally, the Secretary of State’s office revealed that 232,845 Indiana businesses filed Business Entity Reports with the filing office in the twelve month period ending in February 2025. Almost all Indiana businesses are required to file a Business Entity Report with the Secretary of State’s office every two years. These statistics highlight not only Indiana’s growing business climate, but also the flurry of business activity that the Indiana Secretary of State’s office handles on an annual basis.
