In Memoriam
We are very sad to announce the passing of Farmer Scott Ozete Robinson & Schmitt LLP legal secretary Ellen Shelton. Ellen was a valued member of our staff from our first day. Actually, Ellen had been working with FSORS attorneys since August of 1995. During her 37 year legal career, she developed a very broad skill set, assisting attorneys and their clients in the areas of estate planning, general business and litigation, just to name a few areas in which she worked. Every secretary knew they could come to Ellen with questions, whether the question was legal or technology related. New attorneys also relied on Ellen as a valuable resource as they began their careers. Ellen devoted her career to serving clients and always gave her best. She was a perfectionist and it showed in her work. She took great care of our clients and of us. Ellen cared for her coworkers like family and was always there to lend a listening ear and a helping hand.
In her personal life, Ellen was active in her church and loved music. She loved old movies. She loved being an Aunt to her adored nieces and nephews. She was a devoted daughter and cared for her parents until their passing. She valued family and made great efforts to keep family connected. If you had the good fortune to meet Ellen, you became her friend, and she treated friends like family.
Our firm has a little less joy right now without Ellen. We miss her valuable contributions to serving our clients but most of all we miss her friendship. Thank you, Ellen, for sharing your gifts with us.
