Robinson and Scott Invited to Speak to Accountants
Dan Robinson and Laura Scott have been invited by the Institute of Management Accountants to speak to their group on March 13, 2018 on the topic, “New Year, New Fears: Avoiding Legal Traps for the Unwary.” The meeting will take place from 11:30 to 1pm at Innovation Point, 318 Main Street, Second Floor, Evansville, Indiana.
Robinson and Scott will cover topics including a corporate law update, a discussion on how to avoid missteps with corporate opportunities and information on the pitfalls surrounding successor liability and hidden liens.
Daniel R. Robinson, Jr. is a partner with Farmer Scott Ozete Robinson & Schmitt LLP, advising businesses in connection with start-up and entity selection issues, preparation of corporate records, business acquisitions and sales, real estate, contracts and shareholder agreements. Dan handles business and commercial litigation cases in state and federal courts involving business owner disputes, breach of contracts and breach of warranty claims. Dan is admitted to practice in Indiana and Illinois.
Laura A. Scott is a partner with Farmer Scott Ozete Robinson & Schmitt LLP. Laura works with business clients to help them manage risks when buying or selling a business, entering into a new contract, or dealing with employee issues by advising them on common pitfalls and offering possible solutions. When issues arise that cannot be resolved through negotiation, her courtroom experience helps enforce client rights. Laura is admitted to practice in Indiana and Kentucky.
